Producers can take entries online for free, and we make it very simple to do so. FastEnter is now available to users who are not Charlie Horse clients. The transaction fee has been increased to $6.00 effective 12/24/17 Effective 08/30/21, the merchant fee (formerly 2.9% + .30) has been increased to 4.0%. This is a result of increases by PayPal.

  • Bishop Open Jackpot Rodeo
  • Saturday, September 4, 2021 @ 7:00pm
  • Eastern Sierra Tri County Fair Grounds
  • General Rodeo Rules:
  • All contestants must complete a release of liability found at tricountyfair.com and email it to bishop_rodeo@yahoo.com to complete your entry process.
  • No alcohol permitted past the end of the stock pens, behind the chutes or within the main or track arena fences. All alcohol must stay in the trailer parking area behind the stock pens! Violators will be asked to leave the arena area.
  • All contestants must have long sleeve western shirt, jeans, cowboy hat and cowboy boots to compete.
  • This event is FREE for all paid fair attendees to watch.
  • Barrel Racing
  • 1. This Event is open to both male and female contestants.
  • 2. The pattern will be dragged at regular intravals.
  • 3. Contestants will have 3 gate calls. After entering the arena contestant will have 30 seconds to initiate run. If gate call is missed or contestant fails to start run after entering the arena within the allotted time contestant will be disqualified.
  • 4. Contestant may make one circle before his/her run.
  • 5. Contestant has 30 seconds from the time they cross the start line to complete their run.
  • 6. Junior barrel racers may carry over their time to the open barrel race if they are entered in the open when entries close.
  • 7. Junior barrel racers who carry their time over to the open barrel race must designate the carry over by notating it in the "Notes for Producer" section of entry. Please designate as "carry over from jr barrels long go" or "carry over from jr barrels short go". Contestant will accept their time for the carry over regardless of the outcome of their run. (Please see the junior rules for clarification)
  • 8. For all other rules not listed here please refer to the National High School Rodeo Rules.
  • Breakaway Roping
  • 1. This event is open to both male and female contestants.
  • 2. This is a one loop competition.
  • 3. A rope or electric barrier will be used.
  • 4. Junior breakaway ropers may carry over their time to the open breakaway if they are entered in the open before entries close.
  • 5. Junior barrel racers who carry their time over to the open breakaway must designate carry over by notating it in the "Notes for Producer" section of entry. Please designate as "carry over from jr breakaway long go" or "carry over from jr breakaway short go". Contestant will accept their time for the carry over regardless of the outcome of their run. (Please see the junior rules for clarification)
  • 6. For all other rules not listed here please refer to National High School Rodeo Rules.
  • Team Roping
  • 1. This event is open to both male and female contestants.
  • 2. A rope, electric barrier or barrel start will be used.
  • 3. This is a three loop compition.
  • 4. Family Jr/Sr Team Ropers may carry over their time to the open team roping if they are entered in the open as a team before entries close.
  • 5. Family Jr/Sr Team Ropers who carry their time over to the open team roping must designate carry over by notating it in the "Notes for Producer" section of entry. Please designate as "carry over from family team roping long go" or "carry over from family team roping short go". Contestant will accept their time for the carry over regardless of the outcome of their run. (Please see the junior rules for clarification)
  • 6. For all other rules not listed here please refer to ACTRA rule book.
  • 7. Due to the new online entry system, Only one (1) partner needs to enter and pay the fee on fastenter.com. The total for the team is $160. Please designate your partner(s) in the "Notes for Producer".
  • Bishop Junior Jackpot Events
  • Saturday, September 4, 2021 @ directly after parade and cattle drive
  • Eastern Sierra Tri County Fair Grounds
  • Pee-Wee Barrels 0-7
  • 1. This event will be horse back.
  • 2. Contestants may be lead on foot. "Ponying" of contestants is not permitted.
  • 4. Pattern size to be determined the day of the rodeo.
  • 5. Contestants must complete the traditional one right turn and two left turns or one left turn and two right turns clover leaf barrel pattern to recieve a time.
  • 6. Contestants may break the start stop line without penalty or disqualification during their run.
  • 7. Corrections can be made to the pattern without penalty or disqualifications, as long as all 3 barrels are turned in the correct order on the correct side contestant will recieve a time.
  • 9. This event will be ran with a start/stop hand flagger and a stop watch.
  • 10. Carry overs to the Open Rodeo barrel race are not permitted in this age division.
  • 11. Fastest time wins.
  • 12. Contestant must be in western attire; long sleeve shirt, jeans, cowboy boots, cowboy hat or helmet. Contestant handlers that enter the arena must be in long sleeve shirt and jeans with close toed shoes.
  • 13. Contestans will have 3 gate calls to enter the arena and 30 seconds to start their run once in the arena.
  • Junior Barrel 8-13
  • 1. This event will be horse back.
  • 2. This event will be a long go with the top 3 advancing to the "short go" during the Open Rodeo to determine payout.
  • 3. Top 3 payout will be based on "short go" time only.
  • 4. Contestant must ride through the pattern on their own. A handler may enter the arena and help contestant line up to initiate their run.
  • 5. The pattern size will be the same size as the pattern that will be ran during the Open Rodeo.
  • 6. The pattern will be dragged at regular intravals.
  • 7. Contestants must complete the pattern as determined by National High School Rodeo Rules.
  • 8. Long go OR short go time can be carried over to the Open Rodeo in the contestant is entered in the open barrel race when entries close.
  • 9. Time Carry Over to Open Rodeo must be designated in the "Note to Producer" section of the entry. Please designate with "C/O jr barrels long Go" or "C/O jr barrels short go). Contestant must accept their time regardless of the outcome of his/her run.
  • 10. Carry overs to open over 30 seconds will result in a no time for the open rodeo ONLY.
  • 11. This event will be ran with electric eyes and back up flagger and timers.
  • 12. Contestant may make one circle before starting his/her run.
  • 13. Contestants under 8 may run in this age division but WILL NOT be permitted to run in the 7 and under.
  • 14. Fastest time wins.
  • 15. Contestant must be in western attire; long sleeve shirt, jeans, cowboy boots and cowboy hat and helmet. Contest handlers entering the arena must be in long sleeve shirt, jeans and close toed shoes.
  • 16. For all rules not listed here please refer to National High School Rodeo Rule Book.
  • Junior Breakaway 13 and Under
  • 1. This event will be horse back.
  • 2. This event will be a long go with the top 3 advancing to the "short go" during the Open Rodeo to determine payout.
  • 3. Top 3 payout will be based on "short go" time only.
  • 4. Long go OR short go time can be carried over to the Open Rodeo if contestant is entered in the open breakaway when entries close.
  • 5. Time Carry Over to Open Rodeo must be designated in the "Note to Producer" section of the entry. Please designate with "C/O jr breakaway Long Go" or "C/O jr breakaway short go). Contestant must accept his/her time regardless of the outcome of the run.
  • 6. If a contestant chooses to carry over their long go time, they can not carry over their short go time.
  • 7. This is a one loop competition.
  • 8. A rope, electric barrier or barrel start will be used.
  • 9. For all other rules not listed here please refer to National High School Rodeo Rules.
  • Family Jr/Sr Team Roping
  • 1. This event will be horse back.
  • 2. This event will be a long go with the top 3 advancing to the "short go" during the Open Rodeo to determine payout.
  • 3. Top 3 payout will be based on "short go" time only.
  • 4. This event will have a 30 second time limit.
  • 5. This will be a 3 loop cometition.
  • 6. Three legal head catches; bell catch, half head or slick horns.
  • 7. One team member has to be a family member over seventeen (17) years old or family friend over the age of 30.
  • 8. Family member is defined as Parent, Stepparent, Brother, Sister, Aunt, Uncle or Grandparent.
  • 9. Only a parent, stepparent, or grandparent can enter more than once with a different child within the family.
  • 10. Aunts, Uncles, Siblings (18 or over) may enter once with one child.
  • 11. If entering with a Family Friend they must be a senior (30 or over) and can only enter once.
  • 12. Only the Junior member pays entry fee.
  • 13. Long go OR short go time can be carried over to the Open Rodeo if both partners are entered as a team in the open team roping when entries close.
  • 14. Time Carry Over to Open Rodeo must be designated in the "Note to Producer" section of the entry. Please designate with "C/O Family TR Long Go" or "C/O jr Family TR short go). Contestant must accept his/her time regardless of the outcome of the run.
  • 14. If a contestant chooses to carry over their long go time, they can not carry over their short go time.
  • 15. May enter twice but must switch partners or switch ends.
